WHAT IS CONFINED ESCAPE ROOMS?

Confined Escape Rooms is an intense live-action escape room in Calgary, Alberta. Our goal is to set the bar by offering the most cutting-edge, innovative and creative game-play possible; all designed to enhance your experience.

WHAT IS AN ESCAPE ROOM?

An escape room is a live-action game in which a team of people are in a locked room where they must use the elements in the room to solve a series of clues and puzzles to escape within an hour.

Teams must be observant, explore their surroundings, think critically, interact with the room, problem-solve, work together and put their brains to the test in order to escape.

HOW MUCH DOES AN ESCAPE ROOM COST?

Each escape room at Confined is $25 plus GST per player. Pre-payment is required for all bookings.

WHAT IS CONFINED’S CANCELLATION POLICY?

Advance bookings require pre-payment.

If you cancel your time-slot with more than 48 hours’ notice then you will be issued a full refund to the card that you used to make your booking. Please allow 3-10 business days for refunds to be processed.

If you cancel your time-slot with less than 48 hours’ notice then you will receive a credit to re-book a new time slot. Credits will only be issues by contacting us directly via email at info@confined.ca or by phone at 403.452.4441.

A booking is considered a no-show if we aren’t notified about a cancellation at least 2 hours prior to the start of the time-slot. A credit will be issued for no-shows one time only. If a no-show occurs twice then the credit will be rescinded, and no refund will be provided.

All refund requests must be sent to info@confined.ca.

HOW DO I BOOK AN ESCAPE ROOM?

We recommend booking your room online. You may also call us to make a booking at 403.452.4441, or visit confined.ca/rooms to view our available rooms and to make a booking.

Pre-payment is required for all bookings.

ARE BOOKINGS PRIVATE?

No. Bookings with less than the maximum room capacity are not considered private and may be joined with other players to fill the room to capacity.

HOW DO I MAKE MY BOOKING PRIVATE?

To make a booking private you may check the box marked ‘Private’ while booking online. There are no extra fees for private room bookings.

CAN I BOOK AN ESCAPE ROOM FOR A SPECIAL OCCASION?

Of course! Our escape rooms are perfect for all kinds of occasions and are a unique way to celebrate and make your special day even better! Be sure to use the promo code BIRTHDAY when booking a time-slot for a birthday celebration so that the birthday person plays for free! Please bring valid photo-ID for any birthday persons using the BIRTHDAY promo code. Please note that the birthday must occur with-in one week of your time-slot at Confined Escape Rooms for the BIRTHDAY promo-code to be accepted.

DO YOU ACCEPT WALK-INS?

Of course, walk-ins are always welcome. Walk-ins are not guaranteed a time-slot. We recommend booking a room in advance. Call us at 403.452.4441, or visit us at confined.ca/rooms to view our available rooms make a booking. Pre-payment is required for all bookings.

DO WE NEED TO ARRIVE EARLY?

Yes, please arrive 15 minutes prior to your time-slot to allow time for a briefing on the rules and to be given your story line.

IS THERE A TIME LIMIT TO ESCAPE THE ROOM?

Yes, you have one hour to escape.

HOW LONG DOES THE ESCAPE ROOM EXPERIENCE LAST?

There is more to the experience than just escaping the room. After your arrival to Confined you will be given a briefing on the rules and then you will be given your story line, this process may take up to 15 minutes. Actual game-play lasts for a maximum of one hour, but depends on how long it takes your team to escape. You will be given a debrief after you exit your room where we will take a team photo!

WHAT IF I’M RUNNING LATE FOR MY ARRIVAL TIME?

We understand that it happens sometimes. We ask that if you are running late that you call and let us know. As we must be able to keep things running smoothly for other players that day, you may lose your time-slot.

We can on occasion allow you to play with a reduced time limit, however if you are more than 20 minutes late then your game will be cancelled and you will be given a credit to reschedule.

CAN I BOOK OUTSIDE OF REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS?

Yes! We accept room bookings outside of our regular hours of operation. You must call us at 403.452.4441 during our regular business hours, or email us at info@confined.ca to request a room booking outside of our regular hours of operation.

Please note that not all requests can be accommodated, but we want to be accommodating! Please submit your request at least 48 hours in advance. Please note that bookings outside of our regular hours of operation have a 6 player / 2 room minimum.

CAN I BOOK AN ESCAPE ROOM FOR A CORPORATE FUNCTION OR EVENT?

Of course! We accept corporate and private bookings on weekdays, and outside of our regular hours of operation. Our rooms have a maximum capacity so each room’s start time will stagger to ensure that we are making the best use of your time. ARE ESCAPE ROOMS A GOOD IDEA FOR TEAM BUILDING?

Oh yeah! Our escape rooms are the perfect team building activity, and offer a unique team training experience. Team building at Confined Escape Rooms is an experience where teams must:

HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN PLAY A ROOM AT ONCE?

Each escape room has a minimum and maximum number of players. Please review the requirements for number of players when booking your room by visiting confined.ca/rooms.

CAN WE ASK FOR HELP IF WE GET STUCK?

Of course, our goal is for you to enjoy your experience at Confined Escape Rooms. We try not to enter the room while you are in the middle of a game as it alters the experience. If you get stuck, you have the option to ask for help and you will be given a clue through our in-room screens. You will only be allowed 3 clues per game, so use them wisely!

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and shoes. No special equipment or clothing are required to play our escape rooms.

IS THERE AN AGE RESTRICTION?

We welcome ages 6 and up, however certain rooms may have a specific age restriction. Our escape rooms are designed for adults.

Players aged 6 – 14 should be accompanied by an adult as game-play can become too confusing and/or difficult, and some elements may be unreachable. Those under the age of 14 must have an adult over the age of 18. There are no restrictions for players over the age of 14.

WHO CAN PLAY AN ESCAPE ROOM?

Everyone! Friends, family, coworkers, students, gamers, couples, corporate team-building groups, clubs, teams – anyone who wants to experience an escape room!

DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING WITH ME?

Just your sense of adventure and your best game face. No outside flashlights, lighters, cameras, tablets, cell phones or other electronic devices are allowed in our escape rooms.

ARE THE ESCAPE ROOMS PHYSICAL?

No. You will not be required to engage in any strenuous physical activity, climb, or lift heavy objects. There are no clues hidden in places that aren’t easily accessible, and anything that doesn’t move easily should not be forced.

CAN I BRING MY ELECTRONICS IN WITH ME?

No. We do not allow cameras, tablets, laptops, phones or any other electronic devices in the rooms at any time.

AM I REALLY LOCKED IN THE ROOM?

We do not recommend exiting the room as it can alter the experience. Players can leave if they need to use the restroom, for emergencies, or if they need a break.

DO YOU SERVE ALCOHOL?

No. You may not consume alcohol or drugs before or during game-play. You will not be permitted to play and will not be refunded if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
